insurance
Appropriate activity travel insurance, to include emergency medical cover, repatriation and air ambulance rescue expenses, is an absolute condition of joining any trek. We will require a copy of your policy before you depart. You may have your own preferred insurer or annual multi trip cover in place already. In this case please ensure they are aware of your Terra Firma itinerary and can agree to cover the activities being undertaken.
The insurance prices indicated for each trek in this website are available directly from Snowcard Insurance Services Limited, underwritten by Fortis Insurance, both of whom are authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority. Their policies will appropriately cover the holidays in our current brochure and website, and we believe they are competitive. However, Terra Firma are not an agent for any Insurance Company. Your contract for insurance must be made directly with your Insurance Company, whether it is with Snowcard or any other company.
The prices quoted are for Snowcard Option A, Medical, Rescue, Repatriation & Liability only, which will cover you at the minimum level required by Terra Firma. However, for more extensive cover (such as personal possessions and potential travel disruptions) you may wish to upgrade to Snowcard Options B,C or D. See Snowcard website as below for details.
We have detailed below summary information about the Snowcard policy but you are responsible for ensuring the policy meets your needs. A key facts information leaflet and specimen policy is available by calling Snowcard on 01327 262805 or by emailing Snowcard. Questions or queries relating to the policy should be directed to assistance@snowcard.co.uk
This insurance is only available to UK residents. All travellers must be able to comply with the insurance health declaration which is detailed in the policy wording and from Snowcard. Persons aged 70 years and over must contact Snowcard Insurance for a special quote. Full details of the services offered by Snowcard are available at www.snowcard.co.uk
