Its amazing how much you can do in a short time in Nepal - if you want to get the very most of it,
these are the absolute highlights.
The Everest area is unquestionably the best if you want to see mountains, the really big ones. We fly right in there and 7 days moderate trekking gets us deep into stunning Sherpa country and up to the famous Thyangboche monastery with its excellent view of Everest itself.
Then we head for the ridges north of Kathmandu where we have two and a half days of some of the best trail biking in the world, linking up the mountain viewpoints of Nagarkot and Dhulikel with some incredible descents.
Two days of world-class rafting remain, heading up the Bhote Kosi river to ride back on its big thrill class 3 and 4 rapids. Our beach camp night is something special, under Himalayan stars, the cherry on the cake: it really doesn't come better than this. |
